A solar panel, also known as a solar module, photovoltaic module or photovoltaic panel is a packaged and connected assembly of photovoltaic cells (PV). Each panel is rated by its DC output power under standard test conditions. Because a single solar panel can produce only a limited amount of power, your installation will be made up of multiple panels or what is called a “solar array”.

Inverters

The solar inverter installed with your system converts the direct current (DC) output of the photovoltaic (PV) solar panels and converts it into alternating current (AC) so that it can be fed into the electric grid and credited to your account.

These are the inverters used by Unleash Solar:

KACO has been manufacturing power electronics for more than 60 years and has over 3GW of inverters installed worldwide with a value of $1 billion. These inverters are used on Unleash Solar systems where all of the panels can be mounted in sequence on a single roof surface. Depending on the size of your system, it is possible to use more than one KACO inverter to complete the installation. Complete monitoring system is included.
Having sold over 1 million inverters, Power-One is the 2^nd largest inverter manufacturer in the world. The Power-One Aurora brand of renewable energy power inverters offer best-in-class performance and reliability. When your solar system is installed on 2 separate roof surfaces, Unleash Solar will normally install an Aurora inverter. Complete monitoring system is included.
Enphase Energy, a publicly-held company based in Northern California has used its expertise in semiconductor integration, power electronics and networking technologies to advance the performance, intelligence and reliability of solar energy systems. The Enphase microinverter is installed underneath the solar panels to maximize the power conversion from each panel into AC electricity. Unleash Solar utilizes Enphase microinverters predominately when there are more than two roof surfaces having solar panels installed on them. The microinverters can also be used in a standard installation. Complete monitoring system is included.
SMA Solar Technology AG is a global leader in the development, production and sales of PV inverters. SMA provides inverters and solar components to 19 countries on four continents and has a workforce of over 5,500. Like the KACO inverters, SMA’s are used on solar systems where all of the panels can be mounted in sequence on a single roof surface. Complete monitoring system is included.
